When to use the bumbo chair? My son is 3months, and he is quite strong!

Personally I'm waiting until 5 months even though my son just turned 4 months and has great head control. I feel like forcing your child into a sitting position they aren't ready for isn't the best idea, so I want to wait until he is closer to being able to sit independently until we begin to use. Once he has better use of his core muscles then I might put him in one for short periods of time. When they're in the seat they don't have to work to stay upright and don't have to engage the same core muscles that they would if they aren't in the seat.

Never... Bumbo seats doesn't teach baby to sit, just props baby up, so it's no good for babys hip, spine, back, and doesn't do anything for muscle development. Baby will sit when strong enough.

My daughter started using her sit me up chair and exersaucer last week for very short times. She will be 4 months on the 3rd.

I’m waiting till 4/5 months just because he still bobs around some BUT he is trying to sit up. If he grabs my fingers he starts to pull himself up!

We’re 3 1/2 months and using now, won’t last much longer as thighs are already almost too big to get in and out 😆

Gave away our Bumbo when my first was this age after watching some videos at CanDoKiddo.com. With our second, we will be using some of the sitting strategies and preparations she suggests on the website, rather than the Bumbo.

My baby will be 3months Monday and I put her in her frog sitmeup chair. She loves it because she insists on sitting up now😂
