When did your baby graduate from purées to solid food?

I was curious who has switched from purées to solid food. My son will be 8 months this week and he mostly does purées. He has had rice snacks and puffs, but no real food. We tried eggs and they weren’t his favorite.

At 6 months we started doing a mix. Around 7 months he stopped eating purées as much, but he still has them every now and then as a topping for yogurt or just a quick we’re at the doctors office most of the day and he needs to eat.

My daughter does both, but I dont make her purees as smooth as I used to. She wants to eat anything we have and for the most part does but sometimes struggles a little with consistency.

We started solids at 6 months. Sometimes I’ll drizzle yogurt or something soft over his solids but he eats it as like a dip with his other foods.

Around 5-6 months. He has a can of puree for breakfast and one for dinner. In between those meals, especially for lunch, I share my food with him.

Pretty much anything we eat our 8 month old eats. Just has to be small pieces.

7.5 months because she started refusing purées so we went mainly to a accelerated traditional weaning. (Small finger nail size cuts of soft foods, etc)
