So I was diagnosed with a mmc, blighted ovum, on 02/20 and had a d&e (vacuum aspiration) done on 02/21. For two days I had brown spotting, almost grainy like with some white/brown tissue.

Today I started bright red medium/heavy bleeding.

Stupid question but this is obviously not my period yet right? As I still have HCG in my urine.

So the real question is: is this normal? I was told it was possibly but unlikely because I had the vacuum aspiration.

And for those of you who’ve gone through the same thing how long did it take for your HCG to go down and when did you get a period?
