In 2019, two construction workers were killed and trapped when The Hard Rock Hotel was being built. The mayor of New Orleans said they would not retrieve the bodies of these men until after Mardi Gras. And so far this Mardi Gras:

2 people were crushed and killed by tandem floats

2 people have fallen off of floats

2 people have fallen off is a balcony

The area where the people were killed was not far away from the location of the Hard Rock.

A lot of people here are convinced that this Mardi Gras is cursed because of the bodies are still trapped and have not had a proper burial. I’m not a superstitious person but it is eerie to see all of this happening. Especially considering that New Orleans is one of the most haunted cities in the world.
