Babymoon to Bahamas?

Hi all! 
Me and my husband are thinking about going to the Bahamas for 3 days for a small babymoon is Bahamas safe I will be 5 months pregnant at the time? I am going to ask my midwife today but just wanted to see what everyone thinks!

Check out the cdc page. Some places have higher risks for zika so I would see if that is one of them.

What did you midwife say? It seems the US and Bahamas have the same Zika risk. My husband and I are planning a pregnancy and I will most likely be pregnant on the cruise to the Bahamas. Do plan on asking my OB, but just curious what your provider said.

Just remember that a lot of the Bahamas was destroyed in hurricane Dorian. It’s been an expensive fix so I’m sure they would love to see your tourism 💵. I know for sure Nassau and Eleuthera were fine. But might want to cross reference resort social media to make sure they’re still open. I had my wedding planned to take place in the Abacos a few months from now. The lodge I had book was obliterated and now for sale 😭
