Anyone else get so stressed with their kids that they want to cry?!? I officially give up!!

Question

My 3 year old today has been having none stop tantrums and he never ever naps!!!! I'm a single mum and get absolutely no support from anyone so I'm doing this shit 24/7 and 7 days a week
He's been kicking my drink over in protest and doing his fake ass crying, throwing himself around hurting himself and nothing is working and I can feel myself getting more and more angry and when I get angry I don't lash out I just cry with frustration and hopelessness and I've done that loaaaaaads today
I'm looking forward to sending him off to bed because oh my GOD he's being the devil's child today
He never listens, even when we eat out or go out he runs off he plays up, he doesn't always follow instructions and he lies to get away from the table or situation like if we are shopping
I generally GENERALLLYYYY never ever ever get excited about anything with life not since he's been born because if anyone mentions "day trips" and say how fun it will be I'm always doubtful like well you say that but he will probably ruin it or play up and then I'll have to see to him and yada yada plus if it's away away I have to calm his ass down for literally HOURS for him to sleep in a new room/environment while the other people stay out stress free drinking away loving, living life... Yeah because that's grrrrrrrreaaaaaatttt!!!
I have no money to live on just enough for food and bills so I can't get a "hobbie" or go out and "treat myself" I live alone so it's not like I can put cleaning the house onto someone else either it's allllll me me me me me me.
If you ever are in a relationship and consider having kids, please think twice because they take over your life forever.
Is this normal?

I would suggest seeing a counselor. Do you have any friends or family? Coworkers? Anyone that could help just for a couple hours? It’s definitely hard to be a parent but I’m afraid your level of resentment has reached an unhealthy level.

It seems you resent your child, which breaks my heart.
I have a very, very spirited 4 year old who seldom listens herself. I’ve gotten to the point of crying myself but I’ve never felt the way you feel. At the end of the day, watching her sleep, my heart is filled and I hope for a calmer tomorrow (which never happens).
I don’t become envious of people because they can rest and drink while I wrangle my kids to bed. I chose to have my children and I love them with my whole heart, I would die for them. 
I sympathize with your frustration, especially being a single parent with no help, I feel for you, ive been there and my heart hurts looking back on those days. But your son needs you. 
Maybe you can reach out to his pediatrician for advice on what to do? 
When he’s throwing a tantrum, do not give in to him. Negative attention is still attention. Place him on a soft surface (couch,bed etc) and tell him he can not get up until he has calmed down. If he gets up, calmly put him back. It might take 100 times but eventually he will give up and see you’re serious. Take away any screen time he might have (tablet, tv etc) and give him something more constructive (coloring book, flash cards). Go for walks, make a game out of it. 
Reward good behavior. It doesn’t have to be candy or treats, it could be something as simple as “now come give mommy a hug for being such a good boy & listening”. Affection always wins.
I could write you an entire novel on advice how to parent, but none of us are perfect and we’ll always have bad days.

I think a lot of single moms feel like this more than they will admit, it’s HARD doing this on your own and it’s HARD to appreciate your son when you’re taking care of him24/7. I don’t know if you plan on putting him in kindergarten soon but he can enroll at 4 which is so close, give yourself a break. 
If there are some days where you need time to yourself it’s ok to put on some kids shows for him and relax, you can also find mom friends and you could babysit one day a week and get another day where they babysit. Facebook groups are great for that.

I think it’s normal to have random days like that, but if this is frequent or everyday, then no. That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. You’re doing it alone which is really hard. Is he in any type of preschool or daycare? How does he do there? If not, you both may benefit from some time away. Have you ever considered behavioral play therapy? Not that I think there’s anything wrong with him, but if you’re having trouble, it could be helpful.

I think he smells your fear when you go out lol. But no seriously I want to give you a hug right now!! Its so hard and so overwhelming being on your own and having all of the responsibility of everything on you. Like some of the other girls said get into your dr and see a therapist if you are able to. It would help you so much. They usually let you bring your child. You can find a family one that can help give you the tools to deal with tantrums. I think if you could empower yourself and be able to go places and not feel worried hes going to do something to ruin it it would open up your whole world!! Sending you so much love!

You’re stressed and with a toddler it’s 100x worst. I would call a trusty family member. Take a day off. I know it’s not ideal for some to consider a day off,  it it’s necessary. I was a single mother but the father was in the picture and took our son every other weekend or whenever he wanted throughout the week and it was/is a blessing. Hope you get that day off girl 🙏🏽

I Used to get like that. Anytime my husband had to be gone for work I would be so livid with him and I cried a lot. Turns out i have ppd. My pcm put me on meds and I started going to therapy and it has helped a lot.
