How many follicles are good for retrieval?

I’m on day 6 of stims and went today for an ultrasound. They measured 7 dominate follicles, and like 20+ antral follicles. Is that a good amount?? I feel like 7 isn’t very many. Could the other antral follicles mature by retrieval (should be early next week)?

I had similar numbers on day 5. And those smaller follicles increased by the time of transfer. And finally have 25 oocytes retrieved out of which 22 were matured and all fertilized. Now have 9 frozen embabies😍

Some women have really high numbers, but 7 isn’t a bad number, particularly if you were looking to do fresh transfer. Quality matters a lot more than quantity. If you have some that are around 10, they could catch up, as they just need to make it to 17 by retrieval date. You’re doing great. Stay positive! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

You are still early in stims ... You will probably stim for another 4 to 6 days. You will have more follicles growing in size and mature by retreival . Good luck

It also largely depends on your age.  In your 40s that is an awesome number in your early 20s a doctor might tell you it's on the low side but like others have said quality is what really matters.
