I think at 6 fine . Obviously every one feels differently but I am a mom of boys and girls and I wouldn’t send my 6 year old daughter into a changing room by her self so no way I would do that to my 6 year old son 🤷🏻‍♀️

So yeah to answer the question my 6 year old son would be going into the facilities with me . At 6 years old they have typically been taught manners not to stare at people especially whole naked so it shouldn’t be a issue. To me is a grown women is feeling I comfortable with a 6 year old boy with him parent then there is a bigger issue . Just my opinion though so doesn’t mean it’s right for every one just what I think

Where else is the child going to change? I personally wouldn’t be comfortable letting my child go change by themselves out of my sight at that age. I have two daughters. If my daughters need to go to the bathroom when I’m not with my husband, my husband is taking them into the men’s bathroom with him and not allowing them to go to the restroom by themselves. We feel they’re too young to be left alone in a public place.

You’re right, not all places but many do. So when you’d aid “where else is he going to change” i was just saying many places have options. But I agree the places that don’t would just have to accept my boys in the women’s room because I won’t send them alone.

That’s great, but not every place has that option.

I don’t think I would feel comfortable sending my six year old into a changing room by himself at a public place, but that’s just me personally.

I would never allow my child at that age to go into a public changing room alone. I don’t trust people.Women can complain all they want. I will teach my son not to stare. We will get in and get out.Luckily most places I go to have “family” changing areas.

Most places have a family change room which would be the best to use in this situation

At first I woulda said no.. to change rooms and bathrooms. But the way the climate is now with child predators and human trafficking.. I'm taking my son with me..

I would think so. In my opinion 6 is much too young to send into a changing room by themselves. Too many predators out there.

Why not. I wouldnt send my 6 year old in a changing room alone.

Yes it’s fine because he’s a kid and shouldn’t go into a men’s dressing room alone.

Personally I think 6 is fine, but I know our pool doesn’t allow boys over 4 in the women’s change room. There is a family change room though so once my oldest is over 4 we will use that because I certainly wouldn’t be sending him into the men’s room alone at 4 or even 6 years old.

I do think the rule is fair though, not so much because it’s wrong for my son to be in there, or because the women will have a problem with my son being there, but mostly for young girls who change in there and may be uncomfortable with boys around.
