laparoscopy or ivf

I've had a saline ultrasound and an HSG recently. Both tubes are open but have ahdesions (scar tissue), possible polyp and possible hydrosalpinx due to buildup of fluid. Doctor suggested laparoscopy but I'm hesitant (scared) to have surgery. I'm thinking I could instead have a minor procedure in the office to remove the polyp and have aspiration for the hydrosalpinx. I'm having a consultation soon to review my options with the doctor but has anyone gone through anything similar?

Also, I have had one failed IVF due to no eggs fertilizing.
