Tricky period. TTC

My period is 3 days late & I had sex the day before I actually ovulated. I took 2 test the first was faint & the 2nd was negative. Last week for 2-3 days I had brownish discharge & cramps I thought it was my period but it stopped. I still have light cramps but im not bleeding at all now. Could I still be pregnant? Did I test toa early? Could someone tell me if they experienced this please & thank you
