Trying to get pregnant

I have a question. Has anyone tried to get pregnant right after and i mean right after their period ended and it worked? My husband is in the army and right now we are separated and while he was here for valentines i only had 3 days with him. The first day i was on my period but it was ending. That night we tried , and the 2 days after we tried. Does anyone have any successful stories
