Used cloth diapers. Is it gross?

I am currently using disposable diapers exclusively. But, I was thinking about switching to cloth diapers to cut costs, while supplementing with disposable when I’m wanting convenience. 
I’m a very thrifty shopper, and came across a deal for 10 cloth diapers (good used condition) for $15. I’m considering buying it, but is that gross? 
I like the idea of not spending much money, just in case I don’t like using the cloth diapers.

Jist make sure you wash them and you can strip them if you would like. We prefer cloth to disposibles for a lot of reasons. You just have to understand there is going to be a trial period and its going to take some getting used to.

I do cloth around the house - there’s a little more work involved but the cost savings is worth it to me.  No matter how you diaper, there’s a lot of poop and pee in your life for a while   I do find that the cloth leak more than disposables; even when I’m on my diaper changes every 2ish hours.  Since you’ve gotten some Diapers cheap - give it a try.  You can always go back to dispos.

I did cloth at home for my first 8 years ago and I would buy some second hand or a friend would pass them on to me. As long as they are cleaned well it's not an issue.

Nah used cloth diapers are super normal. As long as they're clean, go for it. I use pocket-style cloth (mama koala brand) and I don't find it to leak more than disposable. We change every 2-3 hours but sometimes my son will fall asleep and we don't want to wake him so he'll be in it longer, and he's fine. The inserts sometimes feel super wet but they don't leak as long as you have a good fit. My husband and I did the math yesterday, and for us it saves AT LEAST $500 over an 18 month diaper journey (and even more if you diaper longer - we potty trained our first at 18m). If you buy used, you save even more. We also use cloth wipes and that's another big cost savings.

Just need to strip them before using. Not gross at all, and way less blowouts than disposables once you get passed the learning curve. I would join either thirsties community or green mountain diapers for advice. Fluff love is not recommended anymore. People have ruined their cloth following their advice 🤷🏽‍♀️

I accidentally voted no but meant yes, sorry! I have a friend who’s baby got a yeast infection after antibiotics and she stripped the diapers following the manufacturer’s instructions but it didn’t work and kept causing ongoing infections. I think cloth diapers are great but unless you are getting them from someone reliable and clean then I wouldn’t

Cloth are soooo worth the extra small work for the environmental and financial reasons. They’re not too hard once you get a routine, and I say this as a FTM with a full time job.

Be prepared for a lot of pee and poop literally everywhere. 
I gave them a try as well... couldn’t do it long term.
