Having baby on my third shift schedule?

I deliver newspapers with my husband 7 days a week. We work 2 hours every night and we wake up around 10 pm and go to bed around 1-2pm. With our job it allows us to bring the baby with us everyday (many people do).  Would having a newborn on this schedule do any harm? We plan to switch jobs soon after baby is born. But until then?

Newborns just sleep and have no set schedule so no it wouldn’t hurt them but I wouldn’t personally make it a habit even after the baby is about 6 weeks old (I know you said you’ll get new jobs). 6 weeks is when my daughter started to clue in on nights vs day and slept longer stretches at night

Will it hurt the baby? No. But you might get into a bad sleep schedule if baby stays up with you while you deliver papers and it’ll take a bit to get back in track.

I’m sure all moms have had their kids fall asleep in the car seat. That being said, it is safer for babies to sleep flat and not at an incline. So for that reason and also possible sleep cycle disruption I would look for another job.

It won’t hurt them but you’d best get yourself and babe on a sleep plan. Or else it could turn into a nightmare
