Family doctor, midwife or obgyn?

Which did you choose? I currently have my first appt booked for next week with our family doctor but I’ve never been fond of him and I’m exploring my options.. I live in Ontario so I think I’m covered for costs either way?

I see my nurse practitioner but chose an OB for delivery.

I see my family doctor until about 28 weeks and then see my OB until I deliver (Alberta).

My OBGYN office has two midwives. I’m going the midwife route again this time. 😊

The way it was explained to me in my first pregnancy was midwives are ideal for average pregnancies with no complications or risks. Once there is an issue or concern as far as “high risk” then you’d be suggested to go OB. I had a midwife with my first and I adored her. We moved to a diff state so I had to find someone else this time around, he’s an OB and was great first visit but his wife is a midwife also so I’m hoping to get a chance to also see her.🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t think title necessarily matters so much as finding someone you feel comfortable with.
