IUD insertion with Shot

Hey guys! I'm getting an IUD (Paragard) put in on Tuesday. My Dr already attempted to put it in last week but could not get into my cervix well, probably because I haven't been pregnant before or had any children. It was painful and she didn't even get it in. So I'm going to an OB who is going to give me a shot in my cervix to numb so she can be more "aggressive",  and I am SUPER nervous about. Has anyone had to have a shot directly into their cervix? Yikes! That seems like it will hurt worse than someone's hands up in there! Ahh so not looking forward to it..
