Is Menopur supposed to sting this much??

First night of injections (gonal-f and Menopur). The gonal-f wasn’t bad at all. The Menopur stung for what felt like a long time!!!! Is this normal? What can I do to minimize this??

It’s a common side affect sadly.     Try ice beforehand.    I found the harder the pinch the less I felt the burn.

Inject it really slowly. Then it only burns a little vs a LOT. I had to do four vials a day, and this helped a lot.

Let the medication settle 10 - 15 mins so it's not so cold from the fridge. Injecting medicine that is closer to room temp doesnt sting as much. My nurse and pharmacist gave me this tip just recently.

Try to inject slowly and put an ice cube on after. It’s definitely a stinger.
