Did anybody used Flonase nasal spray during pregnancy’s.

I am 4 weeks pregnant and having severe allergies. I tried saline rinse and allergy pills. It’s not helping at all. My pcp says I can check with gynecologist but my appt is too far.

Flonase is considered a Category C drug (as are almost all nasal sprays) because of the lack of testing that’s been done with it. They can’t use sprays on an animal and they can’t ethically test it on pregnant women.

My OB cleared me to use it & claritin when I was pregnant with my little one. You should be able to just call their office though & ask to speak to the nurse or OB. They typically dint mind answering questions like that. My dr also gave me a comprehensive list of what I could take for various things...heartburn, nausea, headaches etc
