Ergo baby infant insert?

When can you stop using the newborn insert? I never got the insert but my little guy is 2 months already so is it even worth it?

We have one of the newer Omni 360s and we don’t use the insert.  He’s 10 weeks and on the smaller side, but seems to do fine.

I kept it in until around 5 months, once baby’s head was able to be out of the top part of the carrier and seemed comfortable without the insert/had good core strength and could hold himself upright.

I’m pretty sure my insert is for 7-12lbs, but to be honest I used it longer than that because my boys seemed more comfortable with it (they seemed to fit better and legs were in a better position with it). I have an older model ergo carrier though so it might be different.

I have a Graco carseat, so it might be different but mine said it can be used up to 12 pounds
