Just curious - when you started TTC, did you decide to go off your psych meds, or stay on? I had been taking Effexor, Wellbutrin XR, and Strattera, and worked with my doctor to wean off of them. Just curious as to what you did!

I was taking Lamictal and Celexa. Dropped down to just Celexa for the duration of pregnancy as there wasn’t a mood stabilizer that me and my psychiatrist deemed safe enough. It’s been rough, I’m not going to lie. I’m 30 weeks and we already have my Lamictal filled and in my baby bag to start once she is born. I won’t be breastfeeding because of it, but my daughter needs me at my best and able to care for her more than she needs the breast milk.

I switched to something that was safe for pregnancy . You have to remember your health is just as important as the baby’s . I would talk it over with your doctor to see the best option.

I switched from an antidepressant that was unsafe for pregnancy to Zoloft, which they say should be safe. So far I’ve been on Zoloft about a month & month 4 of TTC. I plan on staying on it when I get pregnant. My physiatrist thinks it’s the best option for me. :)

Weaned off 2 medications completely. 
Was recommended that the medications would be safer for me to stay on. One on a much lower dose.
However, i would triple check with more than one doctor as a recommendation as whilst pregnant the drug we were told ( my husband and i ) would be perfectly harmless and safe by 3 different doctors other than our gp in the actual clinic where we had ultrasounds and made plans for how we wanted to give birth turned out to be shit information. How 3 medical professionals in a hospital would tell us this i do not know. It was totally fucked up.
Our little boy had to stay in special care for some time after.
He was never seriously ill but he in turn had to be weaned off that "safe" drug.
Was mad and sad and i felt really fucking guilty. 
Excuse my language but the whole thing pissed me off. My husband too. It has really messed up our bonding in those first days.
Another ridiculous part is that in the post natal ward after we had our little baby boy they seemed to already suspect it would be a possibility that he may need to be weaned off of the "safe" drug.
Thankfully we are all three at home now safe and sound but for my husband and i it was a rough ride mentally. 
We are still not recovered if im honest. 
We have our very healthy chubby cheeked 9 week 6 day old baby boy home with us now so we will get there. :).
Some people are better left on some things but double check. Quadruple check actually as we did double/triple check. :(.

I had a specific niche of meds, and because of many previous bad trials and events, there were no secondary options available to me to replace my psych meds!
I was on an antipsychotic/mood stabilizer, anxiety medication, flashback medication, and meds for my insomnia.
My psych and I knew full well there wasn’t second options for me as I’d spent 10 years getting to those meds, and had MANY horrible reactions to MANY medications that weren’t those.
So we cut me off cold turkey when I got pregnant. 
Luckily I do better without medications while pregnant.
But I do not. Recommend. It. For. Anybody.
You and your psych should be the only ones involved with this decision.

I’ve stayed on my Zoloft, as recommended by my RE, high-risk OB, regular OB, and psychiatrist. I know Zoloft is considered one of the safer SSRIs during pregnancy. Talk to your doctors. And no matter what you do, never stop your meds cold turkey. That can have devastating effects.

I was on Zoloft but weaned off. Also switch meds for  Ulercative proctitis to something safer. And started taking prenatal vitamins. All very hard decisions. Including the prenatals,  the wrong kind can be bad for people with Ulercative proctitis

I’m staying on Buspar. I think that is what is best for me right now. My anxiety is really bad and I feel comfortable staying on Buspar until I actually get pregnant. But do what is best for you and what you feel comfortable with. Consult your doctor and work something out. :)

Currently TTC. I am prescribed 100mg Zoloft normally. During my last pregnancy my OB suggested to break in half to 50mg. I did this as soon as we began TTC. I’ll stay at 50mg if we are able to get pregnant.

I'm continuing to take bupropion bc I've tried many different antidepressants and it was the only thing that ever made a positive difference. I've lowered my dosage of seroquel by more than half. And I've weaned completely off my klonopin.
