I want to get married, and he doesn't (yet?)

Question

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2.5 years. We are both Christian's and have decided to wait until marriage to have sex, or live together. 
We have recently been talking about getting married. I know I've wanted to marry him very quickly, but he doesn't want to get engaged for another few years. It's a constant awkward conversation since we both have different opinions on timelines. I cant help but thinking and dreaming of getting married, and he isnt on the same page no matter how much we talk about it. 
Any advice?!

Unfortunately there's not much you can do if he's not ready to get married. You have to decide for yourself if you're willing to wait, it take the risk that he may never be ready. What's his reasoning for waiting a few more years?

Well, you can express to him that you are only willing to date with a purpose, and that if he doesn’t feel like this is leading to marriage then what are we doing in this relationship? 
Of course patience is key and you shouldn’t rush into marriage. However, at the same time by you not making it a requirement for this relationship, he will continue doing what he is doing until he is ready to propose. 
A relationship is a 2 way street and there needs to be compromise on both ends.

Is he one of those guys that won’t get engaged for 5 years and the. Won’t get married for another 5.
