Why am I having lots of EWCM before my period?

So bizarre. Never had this happen to me before a period, and I’ve never had this much during ovulation either! 
I have regular cycles and I’m CD28 today, expecting my period around Friday/Saturday.

Sometimes when progesterone drops, you may notice watery or fertile-like cervical fluid. It’s very common around AF as a lot of the lining you’re about to shed is water-based. I often get a day or two of very watery fluid right before AF. I usually mistake it for AF and run to the bathroom when I feel it lol.
