Should I quit my job if I’m not happy there???

Haven’t been happy here for awhile now... I’m thinking of quitting and staying home for about a year ... (Hubby works full time)

If you have no reason not to work, no, you shouldn’t quit until you have another job lined up.

Can your family get by without your income? How does your husband feel? If you and your husband are on the same page and you don’t need the money, go ahead. If not, suck it up and keep working. Sometimes part of life is working a job you don’t like because you need to.

Can you afford it? Will it hurt your career if you quit and then try to go back?

You should do whatever makes you happy but you should also have a plan B because if you are independent now you wont be much pleased having to ask your hubby for money whenever you need to buy something...

Career satisfaction is impossible to find but I think if you take year out of work to focus on yourself e.g to study or to focus on family then I say go ahead. Just don’t loose your ambition and sense of independence

If you don’t need the income and you’re unhappy, then yes, I would quit; however, if your family needs the second income, do not quit until you have another job lined up.

Depends. 
I personally couldn’t afford to not work at all, so I wouldn’t quit without having another job lined up. 
But if you can afford to do that, then maybe. But I think it’s good to have a plan of something to do? And obviously I’m guessing you’ve actually talked about it with your husband to be sure you can manage financially and he’s comfortable being the sole provider.

I personally wouldn’t quit until I had another job. 
1) Your household income and lifestyle will change and can cause issues in your marriage. Unless your husband makes a ton of money and you can live comfortably and save 
2) depending what you do, you can lose your skill and be less marketable when you do want to go back. Employers don’t like gaps on resumes. (I’m in the legal field)
