Did your areolas shrink when you stopped breastfeeding

Question

I've been breastfeeding my son for a year. When I was pregnant my areolas darkened and probably tripled in size. The color has returned to normal but I'm just wondering if my areolas will shrink any when we decide to stop. I'm very insecure about it.

Mine went back a little smaller but not the size they were before. I’m pregnant again, & they’re massive already & I haven’t even started nursing 😂

Personally mine usually shrink back down and lighten

Mine did after my first two, they went back to being small and pink.  I know they didn’t for my best friend though
