Fussing when I try to feed solids?!

Anyone have this happen?
I got clearance from the dr (he turned 5 months on the 1st)
I tried on Saturday he fussed when I tried to feed him, and just did the same today.
This seems weird, maybe he’s not ready? But He shows all sort of interest when we’re eating and even drools and mimics ya when we’re chewing?

Interest does not mean ready. Baby’s would interested in someone jumping on a trampoline. Doesn’t mean they’re ready to play. Baby being 6 months, sitting mostly unassisted, tongue reject reflex mostly gone are signs of readiness.

Lol- I'm sorry I dont mean to laugh. But he has no clue what's going on so he is going to fuss. Food at this stage isnt for nutrition but to learn how to eat. So take it slow, make it fun and keep it moving if he isnt to interested at the time, but keep trying. You'll both get there.

Just give him some time. My doctor said if my baby didn’t want it, try again in a week or two and not to worry or push it. They have plenty of time to learn how to eat! 💗
