Worried about nothing?

Question

So I just figured out I'm pregnant, so I called my normal doctor in hope that I can get in soon to get blood work, and I can't get in until April 23rd. I would be almost 12 weeks at that point. 
I of course said that I don't feel comfortable going that long and they responded with you'll be fine.
Am I overreacting or do I have validation to be upset? I'm not as worried about an ultrasound but waiting that long for even blood work?

I never had blood work done, but was seen at 8 weeks. A lot of drs wait until 10-12 weeks to see you for pregnancy, its not uncommon

You usually only get blood work if you have had a previous issue with a pregnancy. This one, I am not getting any blood work done.

I never had HCG drawn... like not once the entire time I was pregnant.....🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn't have an appt until 13 weeks but I got ultrasounds done at the ER quite a few times beforehand

I didn't have my first actual apt until 9 weeks next one is at 14.

Here in MN we go in for a confirmation, get an ultrasound to check for viability and dates, then an OB intake, and then your first initial OB visit. I went in around 3 weeks for pregnancy confirmation, got my ultrasound a week later, now going on 9 weeks and will have my OB intake.

I would be worried also. I would definitely want at least bloodwork and to hear the heartbeat before then 😕
