Jealous mom??

When I was in my 1st trimester and told my mom her response was “well don’t buy anything until after the 2nd trimester because I had a miscarriage”.... mind you...She has 4 kids. 2 came after her miscarriage. Why would she say this after she knows about my 2 prior miscarriages?!

I’m now 16 weeks and the baby is doing well. I called to give her an update and she has been very dry and unexcited sounds like.

I want her to be happy but as of now I’m thinking about not telling her any updates on the baby because she is really dampening my happiness.

This is the same vibe she gave when I graduated college, got engaged, and my other big life events.

Am I overreacting?
