Soo here is my 5 year olds journey so far !

October -

*ear infection - put on amoxicillin

*started running high fever on the amoxicillin- took her to dr- diagnoses with inner ear infection & put on stronger antibiotics

She was sick from these ear infections all October. High fevers, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, couldn’t walk bc of dizziness, hearing loss.

Things were okay until January / February.

*double ear infection

(Only symptom was hearing loss had returned )

End of February she woke up out of a dead sleep, sat straight up (she was sleeping with me) and started screaming bloody murder “it hurts my ear hurts” gave me a damn heart attack. I got up throwing on shoes and grabbing keys to take her to the ER because of how she was screaming.

By the time I did this she was laid back down sleeping peacefully! Woke her up to check temp ... no fever and said she felt okay now didn’t wanna go to dr.

Day after that she woke up to dried puss sleeping out of that same ear.

1 days later on Monday (today ) took her to dr.

Said it sounded / looked like ruptured ear drum . Prescribed ear drops..

Also, double ear infection with side where puss was extremely worse. Put on antibiotic that is stronger than amoxicillin.

Also prescribed steroid just to try to keep my baby from having an ear infection every single time she is off antibiotics !

(Also, yes she has been refered to an ENT but they are booked until April 😫)

Why is this happening? Who has even ever heard of ears staying this bad ?ive never even had an ear infection I don’t get it. And what will ent do for my poor baby? She is gonna have permanent hearing loss by the time April gets here
