What does this sound like it could be? He refuses to see a doctor.

Question

So my boyfriend is almost thirty. Recently, he has been having intense upper abdominal pain. He says it feels like he is full/bloated/pressure and it hurts. He also felt constipated for a little while and now it’s just upper stomach pain. Now we noticed it happens more later at night, if he eats too much or too fast but it can still hurt randomly. Is it just his dietary needs changing? Can he just not eat like he used to? This pain has been going on for almost a month and he won’t go in. I even tried to drive him there myself. Does this sound like something serious or his body just starting to change a bit?
Edit: I am hoping it is IBS which is being triggered by foods/drinks. But colon cancer is a big worry for me. I am trying to get him to go but he keeps putting it off. I am trying to think of ways to get him to go. His insurance is through the VA so I can’t call and make an appointment for him. I will keep trying to urge him to go.

He needs to see a doctor ASAP, he can’t keep putting something like that off. I had something similar and was hospitalised, and was in and out of hospital for 3 months. Praying it’s nothing and his fine but I honestly wouldn’t risk it.

Definitely go see a doctor. My fiancé experienced similar symptoms and we went straight to the ER and found out his gallbladder was inflamed. Doctor wanted to take it out, but since the pain went away the next day, my fiancé decided not to go with the surgery. Turns out this is common for males that eat high fat/ protein diets (keto diet).
It turned out not to be serious for my fiancé but it could be different for your guy. Always best to just go see a doctor.

I'd drag his ass to the doctors or hospital. I swear the reason why us women live longer than men is because they don't go to the doctors. My bf was like that before he got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and a bunch of other things. Now he constantly goes to the doctors because his health has gotten bad. Don't wait. You should tell him, "would you rather suffer or go in and see what it is?" If it's his stomach it could be a bunch of things or his bowel. I had stomach problems and I went to a gastroenterologist come to find out I had 3 pre cancerous polyps that had to be removed. I kept putting it off but thank god I didn't or I could of gotten it like my uncle who had colon cancer. Now I need to get a colonoscopy every 5 years just like my mother.

It sounds like acid reflux? I was born with it, but a lot of people get it when they're older.
Or it could also be indigestion. 
He should try pepcid to see if it helps. 
If indigestion, he may need to eat slower or have smaller meals, stay hydrated, and I'd say use ginger tea or candy, or fennel seeds.
If these issues persist, yes he should see a doctor.
