Should I pack myself and baby a hospital bag?

The baby is being adopted by a nice couple, and I said I wanted to be alone with the baby the day she is born before they take her home, but should I ask them for the Hospital bag for her or should I provide it myself? I know ill need a bag, just not sure about the baby.

They should plan to provide anything the baby needs. They've already got the car seat on their must have list. The hospital will honestly take care of the essentials. I'm not packing anything for the baby. If you want to get the baby a gift, then you could do that, but don't go overboard because they're probably excited to bring a bunch of stuff.

The only thing I bring for baby is a going home outfit (and 1 extra outfit) blanket and hat. 
So if you want to buy baby anything special for the baby to keep I'd bring something. But the hospital will most likely supply a shirt and swaddle blanket for baby while there so you wont really need any clothes.

They should bring it. Trust me, they will enjoy making it! If there is a special item you want to give the baby, you should still do that
