Cruise next week, 22 weeks pregnant, should I go?

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and already rescheduled my babymoon once from a trip to Japan and Hong Kong to a cruise. Now I’m not sure whether even that would be safe. I will be flying out through JFK and headed to a few Caribbean islands. I’m traveling with my husband and our eight year old. Thoughts?!? Opinions?! I can’t postpone because then I will be past the 24 week mark where cruises won’t allow you entry.

I would reschedule just because of the coronavirus and a lot of other diseases you don't want to put your baby at risk but it's totally up to you

That’s a definite no for me. There is nothing that would make me risk that virus. Sorry that you can’t reschedule but just plan something once the baby is old enough and there isn’t such a risk as there is currently.

Corona virus aside, I would say a cruise is a great way to travel in pregnancy because you'll have access to medical assistance on board if you need it and it's easy and low stress. As for the current health issues, what are the risk levels like in the carribean? Apparently the virus doesn't do well in warmer climates so there's a good chance the risk level is low in that area. I would also expect they will be taking extra precautions in terms of anyone they allow on board their ships. Only you can decide how risky you think it is, if you're still worried, maybe just wait until after the baby is born?

Absolutely not. With this virus on the rise, you don’t want to be stuck on a cruise ship like the princesss diamond. Stay put. A trip isn’t worth it right now.

I really really really wouldn’t go especially the area they are going and the fact your stuck on a boat with a lot of people it’s not advisable
