Why dont you wait for your husband?

I just dont understand why alot of women dont take a pregnancy test with their spouse present, instead they wait to tell them at a later time. I feel like they missed out on waiting that extra special 3 min for the test results.

Because to some of us it’s embarrassing when the test comes back negative.

I look forward to surprising him with a gift. And he would prefer it that way. I assure you he has no desire to watch me dip a test in piss and then wait to see what happens. He had been ecstatic both times I’ve surprised him with being pregnant. There’s zero thrill in standing there for 3 minutes versus him coming home to a surprise I’ve set up for him to make it special.

Because not everyone feels the same way about it as you do. You’re supposed to take the tests with FMU..a lot of people aren’t getting up at the same time everyday. My husband is out of the house for work long before I’m up. As much as I want him to be there, I’m not waiting all week until the weekend when he will be home to test.

I think for some (especially those TTC) it's the fear of it not being the result you were hoping for.  Of course, the argument could be made that they should still take it together and he can provide some measure of support or comfort.  But I think part of doing a pregnancy test alone is to give them the chance for it to sink in.  Regardless of what happens, it's still a life changing moment and some people feel more comfortable letting that sink in on their own instead of two people trying to letting to let that news sink in at once.

When were ttc.. I was testing with ovulation strips and went through so many pregnancy tests. My husband was all about us getting pregnant but he didn't care about being there for all those results. He was just happy when we fell pregnant with our sticky baby😊😊
