How do i go about brushing little ones teeth?

How do you brush your LOs teeth? Do you use anything on the tooth brush or just water?
How often do you brush also?

We've tried the nana nubs, the finger toothbrush, and a regular baby toothbrush but so far the only one she actually likes is this one, and she willingly "brushes" on her own:

Just toothbrush and water! I love the frida one because it gets front and back of teeth at the same time. We try to do it every night after I feed her but I forget often

We use water and a rice sized drop of babyganics baby toothpaste. We do it once a day, after her last bottle/dinner before bed. 
She brushes her teeth while daddy does and I hold her. And then I go in after a few minutes of her trying to actually brush. We bought the MAM toothbrush so it's easy for her to hold and has a guard so she cant shove it into her mouth too far.

We use a fingertip toothbrush with a bit of baby friendly toothpaste on it. We brush his two tiny bottom teeth every night as last step of our routine, we do it, not our LO himself as the picture seems to depict
