Banning body-related pictures/topics?
A friend of mine from way back in my hometown is a big fitness fan. In recent years, she has lost 120 lbs and is now starting a gym. She uses Facebook a lot to track her fitness progress and posts before and after pictures pretty regularly. Today, a memory popped up showing her first before picture and an after picture when she was down 120 lbs and super fit. She reposted the picture along with this message from Facebook:
How do you feel about this? There was a topic in here recently about whether or not liking weight loss photos is healthy and helpful, so this is kind of an extension of that conversation. Is Facebook overstepping? Should people refrain from posting weight loss photos to avoid causing emotional distress for others? Could it be damaging to someone posting pictures to receive a message like this? Personally, I was rather nonplussed by the message and think Facebook is going too far with its rules.
**This was not an ad, it was a memory from her timeline that popped up. I don't know why it was tagged as an ad.**
