How soon did you tell family members you were pregnant?

My husband and I decided to keep the pregnancy announcement to ourselves! The same week I lost my father, I found out I was pregnant so I’m just emotionally all over the place! I said I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to let my close family know! I just want to grieve and then enjoy the pregnancy before I tell others

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a similar situation where my grandpa who was basically my dad passed away. Now I'm waiting for 12 weeks to hit to announce it to everyone as the only person I wouldve wanted to know this early would be my mom and grandpa. It's been hard and at times i still want to keep it to myself because i wont be able to tell him. I wish you all the best! ♡

Welll I was going to wait till at least 12weeks but my hubby couldn’t hold it in 🙄and told his mom and big sister who knows who else lol but got me excited so I told my mom and sister to I’m almost 7 weeks. But not telling nobody else until our first ultrasound at least. He better not 👊🏼😂

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is not easy. We announced at 11 weeks but I know people who don't announce publicly til 20 weeks and family after 12 weeks. Its whatever you are comfortable with! Congratulations!

I think we announced at 14 or 15 weeks to family and 16 to everyone else. My dad was overseas so I wanted him to be home before I told family because my mom orang keep secrets we’ll.

My partner told his family immediately as well as a couple close friends 🤦‍♀️ he can’t keep a secret clearly. I told my best friend recently and am telling my parents now that I’m at two months since I am traveling to see them in person anyways so my partner can ask my dad’s permission to marry me officially as we’ve already bought rings etc and planned to elope 😂 they’re getting a whole lot of news this weekend. I will wait until I’m into the second trimester a bit before I tell everyone else. I just want my mom to know so I can finally ask her questions and commission her to do nursery furniture

With my 1st pregnancy after I had my son, I didn't tell anyone right away and lost it at 5 weeks. I instead had to tell people I had a miscarriage. When we got pregnant again I briefly waited but told everyone at 6 weeks because I just wanted to share my baby with everyone.

I’m sorry for your loss. 
My grandma passed right before I found out I was pregnant. Actually had implantation bleeding the day of her funeral. I told my mom at 5 weeks because I see her multiple times a week and it was affecting how well I was able to workout with her. I didn’t tell my sister or any of the rest of the family until 14 weeks because we wanted to wait until thanksgiving, I think it helped a little with the fact that we’re all still grieving. I had a memory on Facebook pop up today of one of the days I was watching my grandma I was bawling this morning. Whatever feels right for you is what you should do
