Crazy baby proofing?!?

Okay so we started baby proofing right before crawling and now we are cruising. It’s like everything you wouldn’t have thought of he gets into. I just can’t believe what he finds in the fully ‘babyproofed’ living room. Our newest is the floor vent, like seriously 🙄 you have tons of toys and your curiosity draws you to the floor vent?!? He is quick too we have a vent in front of the large window he likes to look through and he’s sneaky he will crawl over then pull up on the closed window and carefully sit down blocking the view of his hands and pick the floor vent up by the slats. Side note: I am on the floor with him max 5 ft away he’s just so quick I can’t keep up! When I say No he giggles and throws it. But this is his reaction to No at the moment so 🤷‍♀️ I used painters tape to secure it to the carpet but it basically is a big blue attraction now. We always keep a close eye because he is sooo curious about the weirdest items. What are the oddest items your lil one is obsessed with or you didn’t think you’d have to baby proof?

My son is obsessed with doors 😂 poor kid has smashed his toes and fingers swinging the doors. I didn’t baby proof we have a little baby jail and I keep him in there when I have to clean or cook or do anything that involves me not watching him. Any other time he roams free to explore and learn!

Hahah oh the floor vents! We had to actually screw them down into the floor! I felt like we just continued to do more around the house as he started to get into stuff. But I remember thinking the same thing! They are so quick and it seems impossible to stop them and keep them safe 100 percent of the time! Make sure you have some locks on the oven doors. It wasn’t something I thought about at first till he stared climbing on them.

My son loves pulling on the door stops, boxes out of the kitchen cabinet, tv remote, is obsessed with the baby oil bottle, likes chewing on our cell phones, earphones.. basically anything which is inappropriate for him. As he is absolutely bored with his toys,we try to find common household items which maybe safe for him to play with, things he hasn't seen before, so that it's enough of a sensory boost for him to leave other dangerous things alone.

So common, I pick my son up and take things away he now throws fits....really fun....his biggest thing is doors he likes to slam doors open. We have big wooden panel doors and they don't stay open all way so he will keep slamming them open. But it's just a stage and I am working on my inner peace with it lol.

Door hinges. Found that out the hard way when he pulled himself up on one and fell into it, cutting himself above the eye. We ended up in urgent care getting glue on it. Apparently daycares have to have protectors on them!!
