So frustrated! I only knew I had my diabetes test this morning as “app” was wrote on the back of my notes and I got a text yesterday reminding me of an “appointment” no details nothing just a D next to it so I assumed it must be that. I only knew to fast from my first pregnancy. That be it, obviously I forgot all the rules, nobody told me anything! My midwifes useless!

I didn’t even know how long I had to fast for! So I stopped eating and drinking last night at 8pm. My appointment was half 9 this morning. I got there and she said your chewing gum? That’ll make it come back that your diabetic why didn’t u read the instructions on this appointment?? And then re scheduled! What instructions???? There was none!!! I didn’t even get told properly no letter nothing!

I’m so frustrated as I litterally starved from lastnight 8pm she said oh it only needed to be from 10:30pm! And I could drink water, no chewing gum or anything else at all tho.

It pisses me off that they just expect people to know!! If I was told or reminded I’d understand but I’m just gutted it was all for nothing I’ve got to wait another 4 weeks for another test🙄🤦🏽‍♀️
