Did you save your child’s umbilical cord stump?

I just saw a Facebook ad for this little wooden box to save all your child’s teeth when they fall out & there was a spot in the middle for the umbilical cord stump. 
My daughter is 2 & I’m currently pregnant with my second child. I never once thought about keeping stuff like that... it’s just kinda... odd to me? That’s just how I feel about it though. To me it’s just medical waste at that point.

I kept both my kids umbilical stumps. I also have their first baby tooth they lost and a little bit of hair from their first haircut. It's all put away safely with their first set of baby clothes they came home from the hospital with. It might be weird to some people but its memories to me. Dementia and alzheimers runs in my family and I want to remember as much as I can for as long as I can, just in case.

I still have my first kiddos in one of those little boxes, but it's kept in tiny sealed envelope as well. My mom kept mine and my siblings as well which is probably why the idea stuck with me so much, but i know many people who think it's a weird thing to do. Lol baby #2 isn't here just yet, but ill probably keep his as well.

I have my son’s in a tiny plastic baggie that’s in his baby book lol there was a spot for it on the book so I just kept it

It shrivelled up so much it I didn't keep my little ones but I did sanitize and keep the clip used to hold it.
