Do you get bothered by this?

Question

I know I'm not the only one who is naming my child what I'm naming her. And I know I don't own the name. But sometimes I get bothered knowing someone else is naming their child the same thing and I have no idea why. It's like I guess it's not as different as I thought cause others are doing the same name.

It depends. If it's a random person I don't care. If it's family...we are going to fight bc my son is named after our paternal grandfathers so if ANYONE else came up with his name...they're doing it to piss me off and I will respond just they want me to. Childish? Maybe. But his name was very carefully considered and picked out before he was even a twinkle in our eyes.

I answered "Not really" because I never see or hear of anyone liking the names I like! I guess they really are weird haha.

I'm super territorial of my first son's name. I realize that I don't own it and I didn't make it up lol but it's very uncommon so when people tell me they want to use his name I have the urge to shout "no it's mine" like a naughty toddler lol I don't but I sure do feel like it!
