Pain in left side low abdomen = Mittelschmerz ??

So I’m having pain in my left side abdomen (left ovary apparently) the pain was sharp on days 18 to 20 of the cycle. So I’m guessing I ovulated late. But now I’m curious for how long the pain lasts ?

I’d usually just get a sharp pain that would go and come away around day 14.

I went to the gynecologist already and was always prescribed painkillers. Was told the ovary is inflamed due to ovulation.

Anyone else experiences this? How long it lasts? You get it every cycle?
