ice skating after having a baby?

i just had my baby 2 weeks ago today, i got cut and stitches. but my family is going ice skating today and i was wondering if i would be okay to ice skate or if i should sit out. i’m not in any paIn either 🤔

I was told by my OB to take it easy for the first 6 weeks until I was cleared. I did a bit of light yoga but that was it. It’s up to you though how you live your life. I suck at ice skating and come off the ice bruised and bleeding usually 😂😂 so it would be a no for me.

Do YOU feel up to it? I felt pretty good at 2 weeks after both of my births. My bleeding was pretty chilled out by then- but that kind of exercise could make bleeding start back up again so I’d make sure to bring extra pads and an extra pair of undies just in case. I love ice/roller skating- now I want to go lol

After only 2 weeks I would start bleeding heavily from just cleaning around the house. I think overstaying definitely would have been overdoing it for me. But everyone's different

As long as you are confident you won’t have a bad fall that might rip your stitches then I don’t see a problem with it

Definitely wait jsut to be in the same side. Wouldn’t want your stick he’s it glue to open up your wound.
