Does having bad acid reflux mean your baby will have a lot of hair?

I guess its a myth, but my Dr mentioned that the hormone responsible for hair growth is the same hormone that could possibly trigger heartburn. Also not all woman are the same, maybe indeed the hair growth could affect one mom and not affect the other. Yet they both have babies with full hair. Well for me I had extreme heartburn and my baby had lots of hair

I had the worst with my son. I was literally trying everything to stop it (including eating a spoonful of mustard cause my doctor said it might work, it didn’t) my son came out beyond bald. He didn’t have hair until after the age of 2 😅

While it is more widely known as a wives tale there is actual scientific evidence linking heartburn and babies with hair. It’s not the hair itself that causes the heartburn rather the same hormone that causes hair growth also causes heartburn.

My mom had horrible heartburn with my sister, my brother and me but we were all bald. My sister in law also had bad heartburn with all three of her kids and they were bald. It’s definitely a myth 😂

I'm on pregnancy #4 with my other 3 kids I had the most heartburn I could ever imagine  having and they came out with head fulls of hair.
