Anyone else’s Oct18 LO screeching/squealing?

When they want something/don’t get something they want? I’m interested to hear how you respond?

It depends on what it is. 
If he's trying to stick something in the receptacle, I say that's not a toy and it will hurt you. Move him away and ignore the crying. 
If he wants something like food, I say use your words. Do you want a banana? He then stops and says yes or no
If he's crying because mama can't pick him up and doesn't want to wait. Then I ignore it.
Sometimes he's just tired and I'll ask him if he's tired and he'll say yes and goes for a nap.
Screeming is a call for attention. You really have to look at what the behavior is before it starts. It's how they vent frustration because they don't have the vocabulary to tell you what is wrong. You have to try to decode it as a parent and then give them the right words to express themselves. 
It is just a phase and it will pass. Just be certain if you say "no (to whatever)" you don't give in after they start screaming. This will send the message "when mom says no, I scream, then I get what I want".

In a calm voice I say “you need help? Help?” 
And she will say “help”
If it’s something she cannot have, pretty much no matter what it is. I let her see it touch it say hi to it and then say “bye bye (whatever it is), see you later”  and she will say, or wave “bye bye”
I don’t say no without a valid reason and I always explain why, we do not believe in the “because I said so”.

I ignore it. I tell her no maam, we use words and ignore it. Usually she will either cry or attempt to gibber something

Behavior like that needs to be ignored because they are trying to test you and see if you will just give it to them. If I ignore my son and just turn around, he typically stops.
