Willow for baby girl - is it becoming too common?

Willow is the only name my husband and I can agree on so far. I've loved it for years, it was on my list for my first daughter. Husband has come around to it finally with #2. But now I feel like there's so many Willows. Is it becoming one of those 'unique' but not names, because it's overused?

To be honest with you, Willow has gained popularity, but only in the Glow baby name posts, not IRL IMO. I'm a teacher in the UK and I don't have any Willow's in my class, however one of my friends has a 6 yr old girl named Willow.
But honestly that's kinda it. I know only one Willow and I can say being a teacher and such gives me the right to say I know a lot of people😂. I say if you love it, you should definitely go for it, it's such a lovely name!💕💓

I’ve lived in multiple states, taught school and dance, and I’ve only ever met one Willow. I do think it can depend on the area, though, and would check out the popularity of it in your state on the US Social Security Baby Name List.

It’s certainly not unique, since it’s an actual name. But it’s not common. In the US, one out of 476 baby girls has this name. Most people don’t know 1000 babies. I think it’d be fine.

It's okay. I used to work in a daycare centre and I knew one girl called Willow there.
