Why do cervix checks hurt

When my doctor checks to see if I’m dilated it hurts, anyone else?

Yessss when I went to the hospital at 24 weeks cause I was having contractions they checked my cervix and it hurt a lot my bd said it looked like the nurse shoved her whole hand in there 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’ve definitely heard this. I never had any pain when my doctor checked me. He was a little guy with tiny, dainty hands lol so maybe thats why.

Cervix checks are the worst for me!.. idk why all three of my pregnancies/labors.. I dreaded getting my cervix checked😖😖 I cried a few times lol.. but managed to deliver all babies med free/naturally

my check at 36 weeks hurt. are you dilated any? a friend told me that when she started dilating they became more tolerable.

They were more uncomfortable than painful for me. I also only got checked after 40 weeks with both of my pregnancies. You can deny cervix checks if you want. They aren’t really necessary.

When I was induced at 35 weeks, over the span of 3 days I had perhaps 10-15 cervix checks and each time it felt like I was getting fisted. The worst is when the nurse has long nails 😒
