Baby wakes up crying at night

I have a baby girl who is almost 10 months old. For last 3 days, she goes to sleep fine and after she's asleep for like 2 or 3 hours, she wakes up crying loud. She wont take boob to go back to sleep ( she goes to sleep nursing), or wont be comforted in any way. So, i have to take her downstairs, turn on the lights , and play with her for a while and then i offer her boob, and she takes it and goes to sleep. Has this happened to anyone's baby? I'm really confused. She isn't sick or anything. I don't mind waking up with her crying, but everyone else's sleep gets disturbed and i feel bad. :(
