Separation anxiety
Anyone else’s little ones struggling with separation anxiety? I know it’s a phase for most toddlers, but my daughter has had it for almost 6 months. It is so extreme, to the point that I don’t go to the gym anymore- last time I went, she screamed for so long that she threw up. I am (mostly) a stay-at-home-mom, and we don’t live in the same state as family, so my daughter is mostly around only myself and my husband.
She is extremely shy in play groups, at the children’s museum, etc. and will take about ~30 minutes or so to get comfortable before she leaves my side. Even when I’m in the same room- she screams if I set her down or if someone else attempts to hold her.
Tips, advice, ideas?? Or has anyone else experienced this and their little one grown out of it? Thanks!
