Is baby girl head down?

So my doctor never talks to me much during my appointments, she just measures my stomach and listens to the heartbeat and sends me on my way. Probably a stupid question but I'm just curious if it means baby is facing head down already if she finds the heartbeat really low in my pelvic area?

Thats how i knew my baby was heads down. At previous appointments they always found his heart beat above my belly button. But at my appointment when i was 33 weeks she had to go really low with the Doppler(close to my crotch) to find the heartbeat. It was confirmed last Friday at 34 weeks via ultrasound that he was in fact head down..also i was starting to feel more pressure down there than usual.

Not necessarily. When I went to my appt last month she was still transverse at 29 weeks & the doctor found her heart beat below my belly button  but she did end up flipping at my 32 weeks appt. But to be sure she felt for her head.
