cervical checks? Weekly appointment ??

I will be 36 weeks March 31st and April 1st I have an appointment.. will I then go every week ??? I am due April 28th.! And when do you usually start getting cervical checks?? Just seeing what I need to look forward to! 😁

I will have my first check at 38 weeks. I was offered at 36 weeks but declined. I havent been having contractions or anything like that so it was pointless for me to get checked.

I didn’t get checked till 40 weeks with both of my pregnancies. They aren’t really necessary and you can deny them.

I just had my 36wk appt last wk and they did check me, but it might have been bc I’ve been having slight cramping and a lot of pressure in my butt/pelvis and pain in my hips. Now till I’m induced at 39wks I have to go wkly.

I’m 38 weeks and my OB said they will be checking mine this week at my next appointment on Thursday! I think they usually go by when you say you’re experiencing more consistent contractions or Braxton Hicks but that’s just my guess.

Usually you start weekly appointments at 36 weeks. Cervical chucks don’t have to be done, so that would be specific to your provider.

Mine started weekly at 35 weeks then I got my membrane swept at 38 weeks
