Weird symptoms

So I’m on nexplanon, I’ve been on it since May of 2019 and it was super irregular at first but normally now I have a period for two weeks straight one month and skip the next month. Well last month I had my period and now this month I had my period for a week. The bleeding stopped completely for three days straight, but I did notice some super light spotting on that last day after sex. Next morning I woke up to bright red blood running down my leg and cramping. That lasted all day. Now today I woke up the same bright red blood but the cramping has gotten worse. I know it’s probably just because of the nexplanon but this hasn’t happened since I’ve been on it so I was just wondering if anyone had any insight. Thank you!
