Passed 3 hour glucose test but didn’t ?

Has anyone else encountered this scenario....I was told that I don’t have gestational diabetes but because my 1 hour is high, I need to meet with a diabetes clinic for monitoring and nutritional advice. I was happy I passed but still feel defeated.

Definately get nutrition education if it is available to you. Having high blood sugars during pregnancy can put the baby at risk for uncontrolled blood sugar and hypoglycemia which can be dangerous after delivery. Get as much information as you can.

I’m going through this too. I had one number at 185 on the 3 hour and have been told to do a low carb diet. Now I’m frustrated- do I have it or not? I want my carbs. Lol

That doesn’t seem right to me, a pass is a pass! You have to fail at least 2 numbers in order to actually fail or get diagnosed and your numbers aren’t even that bad! I wouldn’t do the diabetes counseling personally, my insurance didn’t cover that part either. I would only do additional monitoring if they make you, just for the baby’s sake

Everywhere is different. In Canada you would be diagnosed. One failed test (regardless of by how much... I failed fasting by 0.2) = GD. 
Definitely treat it as though you have a diagnosis
